Happy Chinese New Year

Today is Chinese New Year. Gong Hay Fat Choi!!! A new beginning and a great adventure is taking shape. In one week I begin a wonderful journey. I know there are going to be some tough times mixed in there but they will only serve to make the good times that much sweeter. While I watched the festivities of the day I felt a certain excitement all around. It was a feeling that some good times are just around the corner. Perhaps I am forever an optimist but really, life is what you make of it. If you want to be happy you will be. You will take the necessary steps to put a smile on your face. The fountain of youth is in your hands

My body feels great even though most mornings I wake up sluggish. I just need to get the blood circulating through my body for everything to start feeling loose. I don’t know that I like the feeling of being achy all over but, I do like the feeling of being fit. I wonder if it’s a certain type of addiction. After all, exercise does give me a high. And, when I don’t recieve my fix, I find myself irritable and grumpy. I’m not complaining about it in the least. I’d much rather be addicted to exercise than anything else. It keeps me feeling confident and happy. It is also my secret to looking young. Sure my vegetarian diet plays a big part in my youthful appearance but I’m sure the exercise takes a few years away as well.

Life is what you make of it!

Yesterday was a fantastic day!!! We recieved our shipment of 2600 children’s books. We are ready to get on the road and start reading and running. Seeing the fruits of labor is so satisfying. It reinforces the notion of reaping what you sow. Yes, yesterday was fantastic.

Today I’m wondering if anyone is reading my blog. I wonder if my time is being spent in a productive manner. I’m always trying to weigh the pros and cons of my actions. I think it’s important to question things at certain times. It helps to keep the ego humble. With that said, the mini break I’ve taken over the past week has been great for my foot. The body will tell you exactly what it needs. If you choose not to listen the consequences can be disaterous.
