I didn’t expect rain today. And, I certainly didn’t expect the rain to continue all day. By the time it subsided, I was well into late afternoon. I’ve braved the rain plenty of times now but I my gut told me not today. The majority of this trip has been listening to instinct and my body. My instincts told me that taking hills on a rainy day on a road with plenty of curves was a recipe for disaster. With a little over two weeks until my destination, I’m not going to let a mishap take me down. Not now. So, I gave myself the day off. Yet, I’m not sure if catching up on computer work counts as a day off. The extra sleep does though. Yes, the universe and my body were in complete agreement. I needed a real break.
