I have never seen so many cows in one place. The cow factory was on the south side of the freeway and I was running on a service road north of the freeway. You wouldn’t believe how far the smell travelled. Even when I was several miles away from the cow factory it still stunk. I thought I was going to vomit as I ran.
The highlight of my day was passing Texas’ answer to Stonehenge or Easter Island. If you’ve ever driven on Route 66 outside of Amarillo you must have noticed the Classic cars sticking out of the ground. It was just a pure work of art in the middle of a dirt field. There was plenty of spray paint cans laying around so I decided to take a minute to leave the Papa Didos signature on a couple of the cars. This thing was as cool and interesting as anything I’ve seen on the trip.
My next destination was Wal-mart. I was completely out of Powerade and I needed to refuel. On the way there I saw a bunch of Prarie Dogs popping out of the ground. I never knew they made little chirping sounds. Every time I tried to get a picture, they popped back into the ground. Some days it’s new people, other days it’s new sights and new animals. Amazing, simply amazing!
