Day 131 Fountain to Blountstown FL. – 23 Miles

1/9/2015

20150109_132223A frosty mist rolled out of my mouth the moment I stepped out of the trailer. Even though the temperature was frosty and the water beside the road was frozen, I felt comfortable. I ran bundled in a couple shirts, a wool beanie, compression pants and running pants, and a bandana. I was not going to let a little bit of cold slow me down. Yesterday I ended where the 231 met the 20. Day 129 & 130 Panama City Beach to Fountain FL. 34 – Miles

The interview with reporter Kelly Baumgarten was thorough. Both Crystal and I were impressed at how much information she acquired...

Day 128 South Walton to Panama City Beach, FL. – 30 Miles

1/6/2015

20150106_092948A normal person wouldn’t add a couple miles to an already heavy day of running. But then again, nothing about this trip has been normal. I started the day eager to run down the 30A trail. I think that playing the Visit South Walton Monopoly game the previous night made the area seep into my subconscious. I stepped out of the trailer and saw that cars were already parked in the lot. I only had to run a few minutes before the buildings disappeared. The trees surrounded my path and I was one with nature. Every so often an entrance to the forest called my name. I managed to ignore the beckoning trails until I reached Crystal by Grayton Beach.

20150106_093007I scanned my surroundings but still hadn’t seen the unique lakes I had heard so much about...
