Day 107 Erwinville to Baton Rouge – 22 Miles

12/16/2014

P1030164In the middle of the pitch black night a downpour pounded the trailer. It roused me from my sleep then left in an instant. For sure I was apprehensive about pushing the legs. They had been tortured enough over the past few days so I took the time to get my blood flowing. For three miles I walked and made sure the limbs were pain free. While I felt good enough to run, I couldn’t say my body was free from aches. I liberated my mind from doubt and let the dogs loose. The auto pilot stayed on for twelve miles before the same pain attacked the same leg.

20141213_154822I when I stopped to massage my calf doubt crept into my mind. I could feel my face grimacing and wondering what was the root of my problem. I examined and reflected on all recent changes...
