Day 29 Marana to Tucson – 15 miles

9/23/2014

IMG_2922Arizona has been so supportive. I feel blessed. Yesterday’s 34 mile run was not bad. I did spit up a tiny bit of blood though. It isn’t anything to be alarmed about though. There is a dryness in this region that I’ve known about since childhood. I used to sleep with a humidifier to keep my nose from bleeding. When I moved away from this area the nose bleeds stopped. The human body is a funny thing.

We arrived to A bar A RV resort early yesterday. There we were greeted by Annie the manager of the park with open arms and bags of refreshments. Like anything there are varying levels of talent...

Day 27 Casa Grand to Eloy AZ. – 12 miles

P1020732The Fiesta Grande RV resort was quiet and very clean. It was not a small place either. The resort had two swimming pools, a crafts room, fitness center, computer room, Jacuzzi, and much more. It seemed like the place was mainly for seniors. When Crystal and I went exploring, and looked into their billiards room, we were interrogated by an older couple. I guess local kids must try to get into their facilities once in a while. We were happy to be in the tranquil setting. Even with the quiet surroundings, for some reason I was unable to sleep last night. Perhaps the thirty-eight mile run had switched on my endorphins.

P1020734When I finally passed out, my internal clock sounded. I was awake and decided to load up on a large bowl of cereal with raisins soaked in ensure...
