Again the wind whipped in the night. But on this evening the rocking of the trailer was gentle and soothing. Perhaps it was because we were secure in the parking lot of the Red Feather Café. We bought a veggie burger and a couple of beverages in exchange for hooking up our trailer. The sweet hum of the air conditioner was like a dose of soporific tranquilizer.
Because of the raging sun, of the past few days, our team smartened up. We decided to stop being roasted broke the day into early morning running and early evening running. The mid day respite was surprisingly therapeutic. We covered sixteen miles in the morning and left a light eleven for the evening. Our savior on this day was the Vacation Inn in El Centro...
