Day 324 and 325 Manitowoc to Green Bay WI. – 38 Miles

8/1/2015

20150730_143752The lake sat motionless next to the Village Inn Resort. Crystal cleaned the trailer until noon and I got some extra rest until it was time for me to hit the road.

I stretched my legs and began making my way through the town. I could taste the humidity in the air but the constant flow of wind kept me from overheating. The several upcoming running days seemed to be light on mileage. Any time my legs logged less than a marathon meant I would have extra energy. The country roads connected me with a trail that led right to Crystal. I found her napping in the trailer despite a lack of fresh flowing air. It seemed the wind had died down and the summer sun sat unopposed. I too decided it was a good place for a nap. Even though I had only run a few miles, I was always ready for a nap.

Day 322 and 323 Port Washington to Manitowoc -54 Miles

7/30/2015

20150728_090822Right after breakfast we rushed over to the Ozaukee Press to give an interview to the local paper. The reporter, Carol, was very thorough and covered my story in detail...

Day 320 to 321 Milwaukee to Port Washington WI. – 28 Miles

7/20/2015

IMG_3945My body moved at the pace of a snail. The evening lasted longer than I had anticipated. It was a good thing we were taking a day off. I gathered myself for a good portion of the morning before we headed out to spend the day seeing Milwaukee.

IMG_3970Maria made us some nutrient dense food before we hit the town again. I needed the energy and fuel even though we were looking to try all the local specialties. On the top of my “to do” list was, try some famous Wisconsin cheese. We were sluggish but excited to take to the streets. The ambiance quickly took hold. It was easy to maneuver through the city. Smiling people greeted us around every corner. We found our way to a shop that sold an assortment of cheeses. We sat in the joint for an hour and tasted several flavors of cheese and spread...
