Day 212 to 213 Elizabethtown to Fayetteville, NC. – 37 Miles

4/5/2015

IMG_2959There was no rush to leave the large lake and smiling people. Aches on various parts of my body communicated a desire for me to take a day off. I compromised by deciding to keep the mileage low. This allowed me to lounge around the mega park for many hours. My best effort to catch up on much needed rest was thwarted by the mundane chores which had been left neglected. It was funny how quickly things piled up from a day or two of neglect.

Day 210 & 211 Supply to Elizabethtown, NC. – 52 Miles

One for the north tower and another for the south. I took my first breakfast at 7am. It was peaceful with an amazing sunrise saying good morning. I allowed myself to eat generous portions of eggs, potatoes, yogurt, and juice. I ate even more carbohydrates for my second breakfast. At 9am it seemed the kids had all risen and were preparing for a day of fun. I guessed the onset of spring meant a break for kids everywhere.

20150330_123837I lounged around until noontime. I was not in a rush to hit the road while my body was so relaxed. The dark clouds were also a strong deterrent. Of course all good things had to come to an end...
