Day 30 & 31 Tucson Medical Center & a run through the city – 18 Miles

IMG_3007Hatch chili’s on sunburnt lips feel like needles being twisted into my skin. I can only imagine the stinging that Crystal felt when she touched her eyes after chopping them for our breakfast. She screamed that hot coals were burning her eyeballs. Even after we doused her face she stayed red for a good portion of the day. We ended up finding a single serve creamer for her to soak her hand. Everything calmed before the one thirty appointment at the Tucson Medical Center.

Day 29 Marana to Tucson – 15 miles

Being an off the beaten path kind of place, I doubt the A bar A will receive tons of foot traffic...

I take in plenty of protein right after every run and I make sure to eat mountains of carbs for energy. Perhaps I need to snack more throughout the day. I don’t believe I shed any pounds the first time I ran across America.

IMG_2903I had the chance to appreciate the intricate graffiti art on the roaring trains that passed me today. The big puffy lettering with rounded edges were accompanied by stunning pictures.I wondered to myself if the guys that do this go to the Home Depot and choose their color palate or if they just use the colors they can get their hands on. Like anything there are varying levels of talent...
