Some people see problems. I chose to see solutions.

Some people see problems. I chose to see solutions. I might not always have the answer but I will search and probe and struggle until I discover it.

Quick fixes are usually just that: a quick fix. If we do not exercise patience on our journey towards understanding, we risk overlooking important details. It’s often been said that my generation is about instant gratification. We don’t ponder consequences. These actions have carried us to this moment in time. We are a product of our actions. Our actions are products of our thoughts. Our future is directly linked to our past. Everything is connected.

When people hear about my run, I usually receive looks of surprise and amazement. The reason this undertaking brings about this reaction is that people are fixated on the end of the journey. They see the destination as the end. I will tell you, the end is unimportant. By then the necessary steps have been taken. The end means the journey is over.
My run has not yet begun but I can safely say that through the years of training, I have run the distance several times over already. Unlike the upcoming run, The Papa Didos Ideals Foundation has no final destination. I look at it as a lifetime project. In fact, I am striving to create something which will last well past my lifetime. The journey is long. There will be bumps in the road. Working tirelessly, consistently and with heart will yield results. There is no other option because everyday a new child is born into this world. Each child deserves the chance to become a positive and productive part of this planet.
