Life is what you make of it!

Yesterday was a fantastic day!!! We recieved our shipment of 2600 children’s books. We are ready to get on the road and start reading and running. Seeing the fruits of labor is so satisfying. It reinforces the notion of reaping what you sow. Yes, yesterday was fantastic.

Today I’m wondering if anyone is reading my blog. I wonder if my time is being spent in a productive manner. I’m always trying to weigh the pros and cons of my actions. I think it’s important to question things at certain times. It helps to keep the ego humble. With that said, the mini break I’ve taken over the past week has been great for my foot. The body will tell you exactly what it needs. If you choose not to listen the consequences can be disaterous.

On another note, I wish I could be meticulous about my training schedule and dietary habits. I know when I’m on a routine my performance is much better. Actually I’ve stayed pretty regimented on my schedule except for this break but, the need to consume food is just overwhelming, especially since I am a vegetarian. I find myself just constantly eating.

Before I end, I’m gonna ask you all to check out the events page and look through my itinerary. I need a favor from anyone reading, especially other runners. If you know of any friends that would be willing to put me and my support up for a night or if you have media connections which would be interested in this run, please contact me. We are finding help from all directions and it is simply amazing. Also feel free to join me on the run and be a part of the documentary.
