Three months and five days till launch

Balboa PierWriting a blog is nothing like riding a bike. It is a skill that I find diminishes if not used. So here I am resurrecting my site as we prepare for another adventure. It’s not that I didn’t want to post, it’s just that I had a momentary shift in priorities. I didn’t realize my slight detour would take another couple years of my time. I had amassed a bunch of university credits when I was young but I still needed to pull it all together to receive some kind of degree. In three days time I will receive that degree. Along the way my commitment to the foundation has never waned. The knowledge gained from my courses ranged from nutrition to childhood development. Nothing was left to chance as there was a purpose for it all. I maintained a lighter fitness regimen but it was still pretty rigorous by many people’s standards. Everything culminates in this next adventure.

In returning to action I’m finding that I’ve lost some support. I understand companies want to know what they get from supporting a cause. They want to know what kind of exposure they can gain. This is the society we live in. The foundation’s supporters have been great in connecting us with companies who’s values are aligned with ours. So these next three months will be a grind. Training and sourcing sponsors will be a full time job. But, I will be happy to report every day’s progress as it too will be part of the journey. It will be part of our story. There will be some new developments every day. Developments like schools in Ghana that have officially invited Papa Didos to speak to their kids. Follow our progress and see what happens.
