Day 158 Chester, PA to Pennsauken NJ. 23 miles

Sweltering heat. Mix in some humidity and presto you get insatiable thirst. From the outset, today was rough. Did I really expect to coast through the final days? I woke up from a great rest. Downstairs soothing music played on the stereo while fruit, yogurt, and granola greeted me. I could tell this was going to be a good day. A Hollywood screenwriter couldn’t have scripted it better.

There were moments when I felt lonely. I was never bored, it was more like isolated. I asked myself very difficult questions. I guess that’s what happens when it’s you, the road, and lots of miles ahead...
