Alright folks, today I want to talk about the state of education in the United States. They say the state of U.S. education compared to the rest of the world has regressed while other countries have progressed. Why is this? We were the world’s superpower. Some people blame the current state of affairs on the public school system and its teachers. But, I think to do so is wrong.
It’s time to look in the mirror. If we want our kids to perform better in school, it is our responsibility to prepare them. It doesn’t even take that much. It doesn’t take much time and it doesn’t take much money. The capacity to learn is inside every child. Each one of them is filled with intelligence, and creativity. This intelligence and creativity must be nurtured to reach its full potential.

It’s amazing being around people who care deeply about a cause. Whatever the cause may be, the passion is infectious. I am a rookie in this world of philanthropy. Luckily for me, I am recieving help and guidance around every corner. I think it might be because I have programmed my mind to think in a selfless manner. Think about it, when we are making the world better for others, aren’t we making the world better for ourselves? What I am witnessing is nothing short of fantastic. People want to make a difference in this world. They want to help!

I could hardly believe how good my run felt today.

I could hardly believe how good my run felt today. It was a light day and I ran fifteen miles. The surprising part about today was how little I sweat. Perhaps it is because of the Autumn air. Perhaps it is because the milage is slightly less then the twenty some miles I have become accustomed to. Whatever the reason, it felt nice.

I like to start and end my workouts with uphill climbs. I like to start with a climb to give my body a challenging frame of reference. It makes the rest of the run pass easily. That is until I reach the last stage. The last vertical climb puts the first hill to shame. As I gasp for air on this insane climb my ears begin to clog from the change in altitude. I am not kidding. I do this to myself to test my heart and willpower...
