The answer

Running has given me so much in life. I know I’m not alone. When I summon the energy to rise before dawn and hit the road, I’m surprised to find there are others out there hitting the pavement. I think it is the idea of unbridaled freedom. The run teaches us about everything around us but most importantly it teaches us what is within.

I’ve often asked myself, “If the heavens wanted to share it’s secrets with me would I want to know?” The answer must be yes because as I run and sweat, answers come. They come in flashes. Brief and momentary. But that kind of knowledge is just too much for any human to process. Hence, the momentary glimpse. We think. And most times we over think. It is how we create pressure.

The next stage Day 1

Sorry I went missing for a while. I’ve been decompressing a bit longer than I anticipated. Adjusting myself to the real world has not been easy. Suddenly I have so many responsibilities. A lot of work has piled up while I was on the road. But, I’m not going to freak out. I’ll just chop it down one day at a time. It’s the same philosophy that carried me across a country. I must admit the weather has been fantastic, the parties have been great, and the jacuzzi has been warm and bubbly.

Initially, when I returned to California, my body began to fall apart. With my discipline in overdrive, staying idle wasn’t an option. Oh yeah, everything seemed to be malfunctioning...

The parts for the car arrived early in the morning. Up and running like new; destination Santa Fe. I had originally planned on running through Santa Fe the first time around but I ended up rerouting to get back on schedule. It feels like I’m taking care of some unfinished business…….

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve gone two weeks without putting up a post. Bonnie and John welcomed me into their home in Santa Fe. In the good ol southwest I felt a dose of something mystical. The community there consists of artists, Native Americans, Spanish descendants, and Anglos. My stay consisted of a tour through the old Santa Fe, some conversation, and a great meal. So on three stops, in three places where people have welcomed me, double rainbows have appeared...
